“As we tell our stories to others to the degree that they are attuned to us, our story is modified. The very act of attuning to someone nonverbally creates right hemisphere to right hemisphere brain connection that can alter the experience of an event in real time. In this way good listeners energize the story teller and so encourage the story to be told in a more integrated way.”  -Curt Thompson, The Soul of Shame: Retelling the Stories We Believe about Ourselves

Connection is Healing

We all have a story. Telling your story to an attuned listener can be transformational. Telling your story can rewire your brain.  Letting another welcome parts of you you’ve been afraid to reveal can be healing.  The storyteller can become more connected to themselves as the listener connects to them. Telling the story of the experience requires that your brain link your thoughts about the story (left brain) with your feelings about the story (right brain). EMDR is a great place to start. The key to healing is connecting. Let’s get started on your healing journey.

I graduated from Boston College in 2012 with a Master’s in Clinical Social Work and a focus in mental health. I am passionate about helping people heal from trauma, peri/postnatal anxiety and depression, eating disorders and attachment injuries using an integrated mind-body approach to strengthen their self-worth and self-acceptance and develop healthy relationships . I primarily work with individuals 18+. I have worked in a wide array of settings including hospitals, community mental health, and college campuses.  I strive to provide a non-judgmental rapport where we can collaborate to work together through whatever you are facing.

I am trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions and provide a holistic strengths-based approach to help assist and meet clients where they are at in life. I have training in Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Inherited Family Trauma (IFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).  I also utilize themes from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dialectical behavioral Therapy (DBT).  My therapy approach is inspired by the work of Dan Allender, Dan Siegal, Kelly McDaniel and Brene Brown.

Additionally, I am currently accepting supervisees seeking clinical supervision. Contact for further information
